Q. Where are the Diamond bows manufactured?
A. The Diamond bows are manufactured in Eugene, Oregon.
Q. What is the Diamond Bow Warranty?
A. Every Diamond bow is backed by a lifetime warranty to the original owner. Each bow is specifically warranted against defects in materials and workmanship. Risers, limbs, eccentrics, cable rod, and limb pockets are all covered. Normal wear components specifically not covered under warranty include strings, cables, grips, and camouflage finish.
Q. Where can I buy strings/cables, modules, clothes, accessories, etc.?
A. You have two options. Any Authorized Diamond Dealer can provide product for you or you can purchase directly via our website in the Accessory and/or Apparel sections.
Q. Where can I find my nearest dealer?
A. You can locate a Diamond Dealer through the Diamond Finder section of the website three different ways: by state, zip code, or Archery Pro Shop.
Q. How do you rate your speeds?
A. IBO speed ratings are the industry standard and are calculated by shooting an arrow at 5 grains per draw weight pound (350-grain) using a 70-lb. bow with a 30" draw.
Q. How can I register my bow online?
A. On the home page of the website there is a link to register your bow.
Q. How do I become a New Dealer?
A. If you are interested in becoming a Diamond dealer, we are interested in hearing from you! Please download and print the dealer and credit applications from the Dealer Info page, fill them out, return them to our offices and one of our representatives will be in touch.
Q. For any warranty repairs do I have to take my bow back to the dealer I bought it from?
A. No, you can take the bow to any Authorized Diamond Dealer for any warranty issues that may arise.
Q. To prevent wear what should I lube and what type of lube should I use? Can I do this myself?
A. The axles should be lightly lubed regularly with a good Teflon based lube such as Tri-Flow, RemOil, Tetra Lube or equivalent. DO NOT USE WD 40! We also recommend using Inhibitor Rust Preventative. To prevent the limb pockets from possibly drying out and making noise, they should be kept lightly lubed with lithium grease. Because tearing the bow down is necessary, it's best that an Authorized Dealer or Pro Shop perform these two preventative maintenance procedures.
Q. How often do I wax my string and what do I use?
A. You should keep the string and cables well waxed at all times. We recommend a wax with high silicone content such as BCYML6 or Dalton String Conditioner as well as others.
Q. How far can I back the weight off of my bow and still be safe?
A. Diamond recommends that you never exceed 2 1/2 complete rotations of the limb adjustment bolts.
Q. How do I adjust the draw weight of my bow?
A. Weight adjustments can easily be made by turning the weight adjustment bolt (located on top of each limb pocket) clockwise to increase weight counter clockwise to decrease weight. Always turn both adjustment bolts in equally.
Note: If your bow is equipped with pivoting limb pockets, be sure to back off the side bolts slightly before adjusting the limb bolt, remembering to retighten once the adjustment has been make.
Q. What is brace height?
A. Brace height is the distance between the pivot point of the grip and the string at rest.
Q. How often should I replace my strings and cables?
A. Diamond recommends changing your bow's strings and cables when wear is evident on either the strands or serving, or every couple of years under normal use conditions.
Q. While paper tuning, I'm getting a tear through the paper. What is wrong?
A. This problem could indicate an anything from a poor shooting form to improper arrow spine. See your Authorized Diamond Dealer who will fine-tune your bow.
Q. How do I adjust the let off and where should the draw stop be set?
A. Let off is adjusted by moving the draw stop to a set location for a particular draw module that's on the cam. To get the proper settings for your bow you should refer to the draw stop setting chart in the owner's manual pertaining to your bow, see your local BowTech Dealer or call our technical support at 888-689-1289.
Q. I'm having some serving separation or fraying on my buss cable, why?
A. In most cases this is caused by the draw stop not being set up properly which can/will allow the cam to over rotate and will most often result in premature cable wear. For proper draw stop settings please refer to the draw stop setting charts in the ownerís manual pertaining to your bow or see an Authorized BowTech Dealer for assistance.
